this is the old home of a blog called kirsty mcgee's no.5 blog, which has now moved out (it lives here now). it charted the ongoing process of making an album, live and with no safety net in front of an audience. here's the resulting album in handy streaming / download form.
starting from the initial idea and working through the stages of set-listing, musician-collecting, rehearsing, recording, documenting, mixing, mastering, marketing, releasing and touring, this blog worked hard and made us all very proud.
so we promoted it.
it has been upgraded and renamed 'the kirsty mcgee hoboblog', and is now very much alive and relishing its new task of dealing with the day to day issues and ideas surrounding the activity of a busy singer-songwriter.
